Portuguese duo Karetus return with their new EP, “Rave On!” via No Tomorrow Recordings.
The guys explain, “This EP is inspired by the rave scene in the early 90’s. Back then, DJs played all kinds of music and different genres and this is exactly what we try to incorporate in our live performances. We captured this idea and brought it into the studio aiming to make tracks full of madness and frenzy arousing the deepest feelings from the crowd. The shout on ‘Rave On!’ says it all – let's dance while listening to old school synths and some growls with a lot of bass. For ‘Fbeats,’ we used a groove inspired by Kraftwerk with some addicting chopped vocals. The final touch for us was some vinyl scratches. ‘Knock You Out’ was our response to parties being forced to end early. Many parties are interrupted due to complaints because of the loud music and other issues. If the police try to stop our party, we’re gonna knock them out. And do we really need to tell you what ‘Acid’ is about?”
